First Annual ART SHOW * AUGUST LONG WEEKEND
What’s the story?
Art is our practise and as artists we are continually exploring and experimenting with ideas and the tools of our trade. Learning and growing, and sharing our creations is the engine that drives us. It is a solitary practise. Ultimately you face the canvas alone. We are like minded painters, who share information, resources and interests in a variety of ways, but still felt the need to reach out to the larger community.
Attending workshops is difficult when your studio is on an island, so in 2017, when Tyrrell Clarke suggested how we could learn from each other by painting together over 4 days in the studio, challenging ourselves by using a new tool, colour or technique,
the ‘PAINT IN’was formed. It was a rich experience and was repeated again in 2019 before deciding to become PAINTERS 5 and exhibit together.
